I accidentally fell into marketing because I wouldn't shut up about football.
I started as an anthropology major writing about why people obsess over the game, realised I was basically doing cultural analysis and brand psychology without calling it that, and switched to marketing after taking a few electives. Turns out understanding why people actually care about things is pretty useful when you're trying to get them to care about your brand.
Over the past couple of years, I've driven increases in organic traffic through SEO strategy, run social campaigns that generated direct increase in sales, and managed digital marketing for multiple clients simultaneously across agency and in-house roles.
I won Best Individual Pitch Presenter at JumpStart WA 2025 for a strategic campaign targeting youth recruitment - which makes sense because I've always thrived in pitching scenarios where you have to make people see things differently.
In terms of passion projects, I write for Extra Time Magazine covering grassroots football culture. It's taught me how to spot what resonates with people before it goes mainstream, which turns out to be incredibly useful when you're creating content that needs to be at the forefront while connecting with the right audience.
I'm also a Manchester United fan, so I'm very comfortable managing expectations and staying optimistic when the data suggests I probably shouldn't be… Long-term brand building anyone?
